La Charente, charm, culture and culinary The specific scenery in the surrounding of La Tricherie compares a hilly landscape with many small rivers and lakes (also for swimming). The diversity of the wood, the vineyards and the agriculture contain the ideal background for interesting daytrips. The characteristic villages go back to the Roman age.
Suggestions for a hiking arrangement of 1 week:
Day 1: Welcome drinks of the house (arrival after 15.00 hr)
Day 2: Caves and GR-4 (Grand Randonnee) 13 km.
Day 3: Pic et Moulins 13 km.
Day 4: Between Charente and Dordogne 14 km.
Day 5: St. Estephe 13 km.
Day 6: The charming Charente 17 km.
Day 7: Petite Suisse 23 km
Day 8: Departure after breakfast incl.lunchbox
All routes can be easily shortened or extended.
Travel expenses € 375.00 a person.
